Rules, Nomination and Entry

$5,000 Added Money

1. The Spring Run Classic Futurity is open to any horse that is a foal of 2006 and later (5 years and under).
2. To enter the Spring Run Classic Futurity, a horse must never have competed in any barrel race prior to Dec. 1, 2010.
3. Owners in the Spring Run Classic Futurity may nominate and enter more than one horse. Owner does not have to race. Open to both male and female riders. Riders under the age of 18 must provide signed release from parent or guardian with entry.
4. Each contestant must submit a 2011 nomination form and said nomination fee per horse. The Spring Run Classic Futurity nomination fee is $200. The payments are due as follows:

First payment is due January 15, 2011, along with nomination form and copy of registration papers (Late fee is waived due to availability of entry).

Second payment is due February 15, 2011.

Third payment is due March 15, 2011.

5. Photo copy front and back of registration papers on registered horses must be included with first payment. Veterinarian’s affidavit of year of birth and complete description of unregistered horses must accompany the first payment.
6. Late nominations/payments: payments and nominations not postmarked (postal meters not recognized) on or before the 15th of the month will be assessed a late penalty of $50. Cash only after April 1, 2011.
7. Late fees and nomination fees paid on horses that are dropped is forfeited and will be retained.
8. Substitutions allowed: Must be same owner and rider. Due to unsoundness, illness or death of horse. Veterinarian’s affidavit or proof must accompany substitutions, There will be a $75 charge. No buyouts will be allowed.
9. The Spring Run Classic Futurity will run in conjunction with the Spring Run Open races.
10. There will be 2 go’s and an average. It will be paid in a 2D format with a 1 second spilt. 60% to the 1D and 40% to the 2D. NEW! 3D sidepot. Full 2 seconds from the fastest time. Due with final payment.
11. 30% office charge.
12. Entries will be mouthed at the 2011 Spring Run Classic Futurity.
13. Management reserves the right to refuse any entry.
14. Absolutely no refunds
15. There will be a $30 service charge on all returned checks.

I (we) hereby release and hold harmless the Diamond Bar Arena, Shane Parson, Kim Lisle Parson, sponsors, the agents, employees, servants, representatives, administrators, executors, producers and assigns from any and all debt, unknown or unforeseen, anticipated or unanticipated, which the undersigned may have against the above named entities in connection with the participation in the 2011 Spring Run Classic Futurity. I realize there are certain risks in any sport and I take full responsibility for myself and/or my child if an incident should occur.
